Wee Taddy-The Tadpole Fly

 A big hello and welcome from the Wee Taddy, another of our unique still-water fishing fly designs. A tadpole fly that looks and behaves like the real deal. The concept for this fly design started decades ago in Tasmania when our geeky owner discovered and watched trout eating tadpoles in the margins. However, when observing and catching giant tadpoles in Nothern, India, during a fishing trip, our founder got to work at his vice, and the Wee Taddy was officially born.

 But get this! Many Years later, Stu, our adventuring fishing founder and fly designer, returned to the Himalayas in Northern India to fly fish and used the tadpole fly, as you may have read in his book "Out Come the Dogs" to capture a monster fish in a secret lake, over 14000ft up in the mountains, a fantastic journey and book of fishy adventure and discovery. There's always so much more to our fly designs and history than meets the eye.

 A shaved and carved deer hair tadpole body, with a wiggly marabou feather tail that wiggles tadpole, makes this fly a stand-out fly design. But wait, there's more: a lacquered clear back and Bead chain eyes. Flip it so that it rides or sits upright on the bottom. In other words, it lands hook point up due to its unique design. Pretty dam cool, Eh! We always think of everything to help. Sometimes, it is invisible in the design to the unknown. But now you know. Tie on a wee Taddy and see the results. You may be surprised.

  Tip- Tadpoles are found worldwide and eaten by nearly all fish in fresh water.

Remember, Having more than one good fly in the correct size is always good. So, the more significant the pack, the better; that way, you will have a few staple flies doubled and trebled up in the pack selection.
