Deadly Scud-Freshwater Shrimp

Freshwater shrimps, also known as scuds, fill trout stomachs in some waterways! Fish adore them. What sets this Scud fly from others is- the attention to detail and care. A hard , clear shelly back, silver wire ribbed segmented body, UV-glinting clear shell body and UV legs make this miniature freshwater shrimp/scud come alive in the water. The Superhero version even glows in the dark if you treat it to some sunlight or lumens.

Stu crafted this fly design after camping for over a month in Fort Smith and then returning the following year, fly fishing the Big Horn river which was full of these freshwater shrimps/scuds. No room could replicate this experience—rigorous field testing is essential for our fly designs.

Tied on a Tiemco strong curved hook with a large gape for solid hook ups.

 Remember, Having more than one of any good fly, and the right size is always a good thing. So, the more significant the pack, the better; that way, you will have a few staple flies doubled and trebled up in the pack selection.
