JIMMY WAS A ROCKSTAR—a future book, another fun adventure story, and so much more about living on a remote small tropical island with the locals for three months.
Writing one book will be the most challenging thing one can do; writing one or more than one takes decades of commitment and sheer effort and hard work. Suppose that's why few of us do it, plus there's no money in it. It's bled me dry financially, though it's creative and hard and challenging. Nobody makes us do anything.
One has to self-fund. Especially with adventure, travel, and nonfiction, when it's not as simple as a bunch of short stories over years of one's life—when the writer has to commit, go on the adventure, spend months living with the locals with very little, and write in the field to capture events in real time, then return and do hundreds of more hours, sitting in silence and working with other creatives to help build and create the book. JIMMY WAS A ROCK STAR was originally to be called SONG OF THE CRAB (due to an amazing unique singing crab experience!). - Though it was changed, as there was that one other special story about the rockstar, and while climbing 100 ft every evening, after writing and working on the book for 9 hrs each day, during a remote hut writing stint back in NZ, thoughts of "Oh! Fuck it!" came to fruition. That—it needs to be called. JIMMY WAS A ROCKSTAR. Due to mainly all the constraints of being a hand to mouth, artist and all the self-funding, one's health, and heaps of other things,. Nothing just, happen's, and things take way longer than you think. Then there's the time and the sheer volume involved in the project, from start to finish. So I'm always looking for and in need of help. Appreciate any form of help and ideas. Love you all for believing in me and enjoying the books. Can't do it without you, no matter how hard I try! :), Lets make this and all the others happen, before One dies. :) Cheers Stu
